With all votes counted in Galveston and Harris counties, unofficial final results show Jamieson Mackay winning a narrow race against Glencora Rodgers in the race for District 2 on the Clear Creek ISD board of trustees.

Rodgers led the race as of 11 p.m. on election night by 18 votes, but the remaining votes to be counted in Harris County gave Mackay a lead of 49 votes, according to unofficial results. Mackay earned 715 votes to Rodgers' 666 votes, or 51.8% of the overall share.

Meanwhile, Arturo Sanchez will win his re-election bid for District 3 on the board with 58.6% of the votes, or 1,785 votes. His opponent, Peter Lauzon, earned 41.5% of the votes, or 1,263 votes.

With all votes counted in Galveston County and 100 of 126 voting centers reporting in Harris County, Glencora Rodgers maintains a narrow lead in the race for District 2 on the Clear Creek ISD board of trustees while Arturo Sanchez appears poised to win his race for District 3.

Across Harris and Galveston counties, Rodgers has earned 517 votes, compared to 499 votes for her opponent Jamieson Mackey. As of publication of this article at 11 p.m. May 6, vote counting was still underway in Harris County.

Sanchez, the incumbent in the race, leads with 59.8% of the votes against his opponent Peter Lauzon, earning 1,518 votes to Lauzon's 1,021.

With early voting results tallied, candidates Glencora Rodgers and Arturo Sanchez are leading their races for two seats up for election on the Clear Creek ISD board of trustees.

In an election spanning parts of Harris and Galveston counties, Rodgers leads a narrow race for District 2 with 51.4% of the votes, or 393 votes. Her opponent, Jamieson Mackay, has 371 votes, according to totals from both counties after the early voting period.


Both candidates are running for a trustee seat for the first time after incumbent Michelle Davis opted not to seek re-election.

Sanchez, the incumbent in the race for District 3 and a director at the Johnson Space Center, is leading his race with 61.3% of the votes, or 1,258 votes, according to early results from the Harris County Election's Administration Office. His opponent, Peter Lauzon, a chemical engineer, trails with 796 votes.

A total of seven trustees serve on the Clear Creek ISD board, including five district trustees and two at-large trustees.


All board members serve three-year terms. District 4, District 5 and At-large Position A—held by Jeff Larson, Jay Cunningham and Jonathan Cottrell, respectively—will be up for election in 2024. District 1 and At-large Position B—held by Jessica Cejka and Scott Bowen, respectively—will be up for election in 2025.
