Jack Morman will be the Republican facing Democratic incumbent Adrian Garcia for the Harris County Commissioners Court Precinct 2 seat in November.

With all 260 Harris County precincts reporting, Morman gathered 13,649 votes, or 67.8% of the votes cast. His opponent, Jerry Mouton, gathered 6,485 votes, or 32.2%.

Morman, who served as the Precinct 2 commissioner before Garcia took the seat in 2019, is an attorney who said he would support law enforcement, wage a “real war on crime” and cut wasteful spending if elected.

Mouton, a landscape business owner, said he would elevate levels of public safety, fund constables, invest in infrastructure and flood mitigation, and improve financial management.

Morman and Mouton were among five total Republican candidates who faced each other in March. Morman gathered 40.3% of the votes cast at the time, and Mouton won 22%.

Results are unofficial until canvassed.
