The overview
CCISD’s E-STEM program is offered at Ed White and Walter Hall elementary schools, according to the district’s website.
Students in kindergarten through fifth grade are allowed to enroll in this program, which integrates STEM curriculum, the district’s website notes.
Extra spaces are also available for incoming kindergarten students who are within the district’s boundaries but outside both campuses’ attendance zones. These spaces are chosen through a lottery system, according to the district’s website.
The deadline to apply is 3:45 p.m. May 1, according to the district’s website.
Parent information meetings will be held at 5:30 p.m. on the following dates and locations:
- March 3: Virtual meeting
- April 1: At Walter Hall E-STEM Magnet School, 311 Country Lane, League City
- April 3: At Ed White E-STEM Magnet School, 1708 Les Talley Drive, El Lago
- April 28: At Ed White E-STEM Magnet School, 1708 Les Talley Drive, El Lago
Students at Brookwood, Landolt, League City, McWhirter and Stewart elementary schools can apply to CCISD’s dual language program for the 2025-26 school year, according to a social media post from the district.
Both native English and Spanish speakers receive instruction together in the dual language program, according to the district’s website.
Parents are required to attend an informational meeting at their student’s respective school, which is set for 5:30 p.m. at the following locations:
- April 1: Landolt Elementary, 2104 Pilgrims Point Drive, Friendswood
- April 8: League City Elementary, 520 E. Walker St., League City
- April 16: McWhirter Elementary, 300 Pennsylvania Ave., Webster
- April 23: Stewart Elementary, 330 Marina Bay Drive, Kemah
- April 28: Brookwood Elementary, 16850 Middlebrook Drive, Houston
- May 1: District meeting at McWhirter Elementary, 300 Pennsylvania Ave., Webster
