Clear Creek ISD’s board of trustees approved more funding for support service repairs and work at baseball and softball fields across three high schools at its Sept. 9 workshop.

The overview

CCISD officials will put $750,000 into the Support Service Repair Contingency Fund, which is used to fund significant and unexpected facility and transportation infrastructure needs for the fiscal year 2024-25, according to CCISD agenda documents.

The transportation infrastructure needs that are part of this additional funding will be requested but could require board approval for each item. They will be tracked in the district’s monthly bond and capital report.

Paul Miller, assistant superintendent of support services for CCISD, said this funding will be beneficial to address any infrastructure needs within the district.

“The investments we’ve made have really had an impact, and the efforts of our team have really showed as we went into the current school year,” Miller said at the workshop. “We always have issues with various little things here and there in the district, but it was really a major difference.”

What else?

The district will also be using $100,000 of capital project funds to remove and replace infield mix dirt for softball and baseball fields at the following high schools:
  • Clear Creek High School
  • Clear Falls High School
  • Clear Springs High School
Removal and replacements will begin immediately and will be completed in time for the upcoming softball and baseball season in the spring, according to district documents.
