San Jacinto College will now offer a fully accredited bachelor's degree program in cybersecurity.

The program, which is a Bachelor of Applied Technology, was fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges according to a July 26 news release from the college.

The overview

This program will build on foundational learning from associate degrees and certificates in information technology and cybersecurity, according to the news release.

Students enrolled in the program will learn how to safeguard computer networks, according to the release.


Other subjects include cryptography, ethical hacking, and the ethical and legal dimensions of technology, according to the release.
