The District Educational Improvement Committee calendar subcommittee developed and approved three different options for the public to vote upon.
However, the CCISD board of trustees has the final say on adoption of the school calendar, and the calendar may be subject to change as a result of inclement weather or mandates by the Texas Legislature.
The calendar was shifted forward a week during the budget development process to reduce expenditures for the fiscal year 2022-23, according to the release. Furthermore, a decision about the transition day for prekindergarten, kindergarten, and sixth- and ninth-grade students as well as early-release days might be added after the calendar is approved.
