Clear Creek ISD will be open Feb. 23 for learning, according to a district news release sent midday Feb. 22.
With the majority of the area's boil water advisories lifted and the necessary repairs to schools completed, the district will be operating on a normal schedule with the exception of two schools, per the release.
Since the city of Seabrook is, as of 2 p.m. Feb. 22, still under a boil water advisory, students at Bay Elementary School and Seabrook Intermediate School will need to await further guidance about whether school is happening in person Feb. 23.
The district anticipates this advisory to be lifted as early as this evening or tomorrow but asks that parents plan for a virtual learning day if their students attend either of these two schools. If the advisory is not lifted by 8 p.m. Feb 22, students at these campuses will learn remotely under the school-to-home model. If the advisory is lifted, students and families can expect an evening update letting them know of the campuses being reopened for instruction Feb. 23.
