Why are you running for this position?

Public education has the profound ability to bind a community together and develop kids of all backgrounds into active, productive citizens which benefits all of us. I want to make sure Tomball ISD continues to strive for excellence in education and provide a sense of belonging for all.

What are the biggest challenges facing this district?

-Complacency with past success. Continuously strive for improvement in rigorous curriculum and high-quality instruction. -Public school funding has not kept up with state mandates and inflation. Greater advocacy is needed to support quality public education. -Maintaining and continuously evolving CTE programs to align with workforce needs.

How do you plan to make sure concerned Tomball ISD parents' voices are heard on the council?

Community members have multiple avenues to share comments and provide feedback, such as reaching out directly to board members and providing public comment at each board meeting. I welcome opportunities to listen and better understand the concerns of our community.

What can the district improve on when it comes to supporting teachers both in and outside the classroom?

When it comes to supporting teachers as a trustee, my role is to make sure we are setting clear expectations and accountability to our Superintendent regarding curriculum and instruction. In addition, ask questions such as “How will this help teachers spend more time teaching and improve student outcomes?”

Tomball ISD's special education population is growing, while funding struggles to keep up. How can the district help address the needs of its special ed students?

Tomball ISD is morally and legally obligated to support our special education population. Tomball ISD prioritizes funding of special education in the yearly budget. However, additional support is needed from state and federal sources to keep up with this growing segment and the associated complex needs.

Why are you running for this position?

My family chose Tomball for its schools, and I want every family to share that confidence. As a wife, mother of three Tomball ISD students, and woman of faith, I'm running to bring transparency, fiscal responsibility, great teachers, and safe campuses to every child in this District.

What are the biggest challenges facing this district?

Sustaining academic excellence and fiscal discipline through rapid growth, while keeping every campus safe. That means protecting classroom funding from administrative overhead, recruiting and retaining great teachers amid rising costs, and ensuring strong law-enforcement partnerships and clear emergency plans on every campus.

How do you plan to make sure concerned Tomball ISD parents' voices are heard on the council?

I'll push for proactive transparency — posting budget, curriculum, and safety information before parents must ask — and strengthen the Districtwide Educational Improvement Council so parent input shapes decisions before they're finalized. As trustee, I'll make sure every concerned parent's voice reaches the Board directly.

What can the district improve on when it comes to supporting teachers both in and outside the classroom?

The district should cut burdensome non-instructional paperwork, back consistent discipline policies so teachers have real administrative support in the classroom, and offer competitive pay and retention incentives funded by trimming bureaucracy, not new taxes — plus give teachers a genuine voice in curriculum and policy decisions.

Tomball ISD's special education population is growing, while funding struggles to keep up. How can the district help address the needs of its special ed students?

Tomball ISD serves over 2,500 special-needs students — 11.5% of enrollment — through individualized IEPs and $698,542 in dedicated dyslexia funding. As that population grows, I'll fight to protect and grow that classroom-level funding, ensure full IDEA compliance, and give parents a real voice in every ARD decision.
