According to a press release, some of the new concession locations will include Common Bond Bakery and Bistro, Dish Society, Pink’s Pizza, Jersey Mike’s Subs, The Rustic and Wendy’s. The agreement is expected to create nearly 300 jobs across the new facilities.
The press release states the 10-year agreement with LaTrelle’s Gallery is projected to generate as much as $74 million for Houston Airports. The new management team is expected to begin its transition into the airport’s concessions program in April.
"In 1985, my father's first airport location was a 350-square-foot bakery in Hobby Airport. With today's decision by this City Council, we will now operate over 17,000 square feet of Hobby Airport's food and beverage locations. What an opportunity,” said Kenneth James, a representative of LaTrelle’s Management Corp., in the release.
Houston City Council will review a second concessions contract for Hobby Airport in the coming months, the release stated.
