American high-end dining restaurant Hudson House coming to Rice Village

A second Hudson House restaurant location in Houston is coming to Rice Village.

Dallas-based Vanderlay Hospitality Group opened its first Houston location in River Oaks last fall at 1966 W. Gray St., Houston. While the opening date has not been disclosed for the Rice Village location, General Manager Aj Jennings confirmed in an email that the new restaurant is currently under construction at the former Victoria's Secret location on University Boulevard.

Houston awarded $2 million grant for Buffalo Bayou bridge study


The Biden-Harris Administration awarded Houston $2 million as part of the Federal Highway Administration's competitive Bridge Investment Program to study the possibility of rehabilitating eight bridges along Buffalo Bayou.

Pastry chef Sara Brook founded Dessert Gallery Bakery & Cafe in 1995 to continue her passion for baking. While the bakery originated in Houston in 1995, Dessert Gallery Bakery & Cafe expanded with a second location in The Woodlands in 2023.
