Royalty Meat Company closes in League City

After moving to a new retail shop in League City in December, Royalty Meat Company has permanently closed its doors.

Royalty Meat Company, which sold a variety of meats, including steaks, beef, brisket, chicken and more, originally opened its doors in April 2021 in League City on FM 646, according to the business’s social media page.

In a social media post, owners Alec and Kristie Ramirez thanked the community for their contributions to the business, and described the difficulties of running a small business.

“We fought hard to overcome the harsh realities that many small businesses face when they open their doors,” the Ramirez family said in the social media post. “We worked long hours, took every opportunity to sell our products and squeezed every penny we could to keep our doors open. ... However, so many factors have unfortunately impacted us that it’s no longer feasible to keep going.”
