Galveston-based company Island Famous, which owns The Spot scratch kitchen restaurant, is cooking up two new Bay Area locations at 2502 Gulf Freeway S., League City, and the Hobby Airport, which are respectively slated to open in summer 2023 and quarter four 2024, Island Famous President Dennis Byrd said.
The scratch kitchen, which originally opened in 1998, offers burgers, locally sourced seafood, chicken wings, tacos and a variety of beverages including milkshakes.
"We’re focused on restaurant growth, one unit at a time," Byrd said.
The League City location will feature a patio with a lawn for kids, and the menu will be expanded to include ahi tuna poke bowls and salads, Byrd said.
