The city of Tomball will host its inaugural Texas Music Festival Aug. 30, bringing together residents and musicians alike.

Several local bands and musicians will perform at the Tomball Historic Depot Plaza from 11 a.m.–6:30 p.m., including The John Evans Band, Jesse Raub Jr., Mike and the Moonpies and special guest Abbey Hirvela.

Mel's Country Cafe will sell its southern-style dishes on-site, and traditional festival foods and beverages are available for purchase, such as kettle corn, pork rinds, cotton candy, funnel cakes, soft drinks and beer. A small children's play area with games will be open throughout the festival.
