With all precincts in Denton and Tarrant counties reporting, Jeannette Tiffany and Neil Twomey won their respective races for mayor and Trophy Club Municipal Water District No. 1, Place 4.

Tiffany received 982 votes, 78.12%, compared to challenger Jenee Molacek’s 275 votes, 21.88%.

Local voters’ approved an extension of the street maintenance sales tax with 1,010 ballots, 81.65%, cast in favor of the proposition. There were 227 votes, 18.35%, opposed to extending the sales tax allocation.

In Denton County, there were 53,423 votes cast countywide, which is 9.23% of the 578,734 registered voters. In Tarrant County, there were 91,087 ballots cast countywide, which is 6.9% of the county's 1.32 million registered voters.

Early voting results from Denton and Tarrant counties show that a majority of Trophy Club voters support Jeanette Tiffany’s reelection bid for mayor. Neil Twomey is also leading the race for Trophy Club Municipal Water District No. 1, Place 4, while voters support an extension of a sales tax dedication for street maintenance.

Tiffany has received the most votes with 659, or 79.02%, compared to her challenger Jenee Molacek, who has gotten 175 votes, or 20.98%.
Tiffany was originally elected in 2023 and is seeking a second three-year term.

Twomey has garnered 546 votes, or 69.03%, compared to Aaron Ross’ 245 votes, 30.97%.
Twomey currently serves on Place 4 of the district’s board of directors. Each member of the board serves a four-year term, with elections held in even years.
James Thomas and Bert Cooper filed for Place 3 and Place 5, respectively, and both ran unopposed.
Trophy Club street maintenance sales tax extension
Trophy Club voters support extending the street maintenance sales tax dedication for a further four years.
There are 674 ballots, or 82% cast in favor of extending the dedication, compared to 148 votes against, 18%.
The town receives 2% of the state’s 8.25% sales tax. From that, 0.25% is allocated for street maintenance, which covers pavement repairs, sidewalk maintenance, and traffic signage and equipment, according to the town’s website.

Totals from Denton County ballots cast May 2 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
During early voting, there were 37,566 ballots cast across Denton County during early voting, representing 6.49% of registered voters.
