Everything Tarrant County voters need to know on Election Day, Nov. 3

Voter turnout in Tarrant County has already surpassed 2016 numbers as voters head to the polls on Election Day, Nov. 3 for local, state and federal elections.

Utilizing universal polling locations, voters in Tarrant County can vote at any precinct within the county from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Election Day. Any voter in line by 7 p.m. will have an opportunity to cast their vote, according to Tarrant County Elections officials.

Numbers from the Texas Secretary of State's Office indicate more than 60% of registered voters in Tarrant County have cast a ballot as of Oct. 30. A total of 666,582 ballots have been cast out of 1,212,524 registered voters in the county.

Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3 and received at the elections office by Nov. 4. Tarrant County residents who use a mail-in ballot option can track mail-in ballots using an online tool provided by nonprofit organization Vote America. Voters using the tool can check whether their mail-in ballot has been received by the county elections office.

Voters may also return their mail-in ballots in person at the Tarrant County Elections Office, 2700 Premier St., Fort Worth, between 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Nov. 3.

In addition, voters who requested a mail-in ballot but did not return it can still cast their vote in person at any Tarrant County polling location.
