Colleyville residents can pick up $35 gift cards to spend at participating Colleyville restaurants starting Feb. 2, said Chelsea Rose, director of the Colleyville Center and economic development.
What’s happening?
These gift cards will not be mailed out, and residents can pick up one gift card per household from the Colleyville Center, the Colleyville Recreation Center and the Colleyville Public Library, Rose said. Residents must have an ID to pick up a gift card.
Gift cards are valid through March 1, and restaurants will receive reimbursement from the city at the end of the program for every gift card used at their shop, per Colleyville’s website.

Alongside the gift cards, Colleyville is partnering with Grapevine-Colleyville ISD for a receipt race, according to Colleyville’s website.
Each GCISD school’s Parent Teacher Association can collect receipts from any Colleyville business throughout February and March. The school that collects the most receipts, regardless of value, will receive a donation to the school’s PTA.
All participating schools will receive a $500 donation. The grand prize is $5,000, second place gets $3,000, and third place will receive $2,000, per the city’s website.
Both economic development programs were approved by Colleyville City Council at the Sept. 16 meeting.
The impact
The city of Colleyville began the gift card program in 2018 and since then, has given over $5.7 million to local businesses through the program. The economic development team is still looking into how much money was invested into businesses for the Christmas gift card program, which finished up Jan. 9.
The restaurant-only gift card, which occurs in February, began in 2024 and raised $126,700 its first year for participating restaurants. In 2025, restaurants received $127,085 from the city through the program.
