A new Italian eatery offering an upscale, distinctive dining experience is now open in Grapevine.
Little Dutch offers Italian menu items along with dishes inspired by other regions, according to a city of Grapevine press release. The restaurant’s interior features a glass atrium with crystal chandeliers and a green glass bar. Little Dutch also offers a private dining room for up to 12 guests.
What’s in a name?
The restaurant’s name, Little Dutch, is tied to founder Noti Krasniqi’s childhood in Kosovo, formerly part of Yugoslavia. As a child, Krasniqi was nicknamed “Reagan” after President Ronald Reagan. Krasniqi later learned that Reagan's childhood nickname was “Dutch.” Little Dutch is meant to be a tribute to Krasniqi’s childhood and the American dream he followed to the United States, the release states.
