Nearly 23,000 Williamson County voters turned out to the polls on the first day of early voting ahead of the Nov. 3 elections, according to county election data.
The Williamson County Elections Department reported a total of 33,412 people had cast their ballots by Oct. 13, which correlates to a 8.97% turnout, the report said.
Of those, 22,707 voted in person while the remaining 10,705 voted via mail, limited and provisional ballots, the report said.
The 22,700 individuals who voted in person constitute the highest first day of early voting turnout the county has had in any election, Williamson County Elections Administrator Chris Davis said.
