A new MiYa Chinese restaurant will open in Frisco’s The Mix development next year, according to documents filed with TDLR.
What to know
First opened in Dallas in 2024, MiYa Chinese blends traditional Chinese recipes with a modern, full-service dining experience. Founded by restaurateur David Romano, MiYa Chinese features an interactive open kitchen, modern design and dishes rooted in Chinese heritage.
The menu features dishes like handmade spring and egg rolls, a variety of soups, rice and noodle dishes, crispy duck breast, handmade soup dumplings and regular dumplings, Sichuan-inspired specialties and multiple dessert options.
According to a TDLR filing, the interior of a building will be renovated to create the region’s second MiYa Chinese restaurant. The renovation will cost $900,000, the filing states.
Construction to convert the 4,000 square foot interior is expected to start Oct. 1 and finish by April 1, 2027, according to the filing. The restaurant will also feature a 2,800 square foot rooftop patio, the filing states.
Also of note
Whole Foods remains the only publicly announced anchor tenant at The Mix. If plans move forward, MiYa Chinese would become the first restaurant slated to join the development.
