Two westbound lanes will be closed from Orchard Ridge Lane to allow for specialized equipment required for the next phase of the construction.
The change in traffic patterns is to allow contractors to complete work on the project while preserving mature trees along the northside of Renner Road, according to a news release issued by the city. The lane closures are expected to remain in place through mid-September.
What else
Drivers may also experience lane closures on the President George Bush Turnpike between Midway Road in Carrollton and Brand Road in Richardson. The work is to repave the shoulder and guardrail installation.
Repaving will take place Sunday through Thursday nights from 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Daytime guardrail installation is planned for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with only shoulder closures.
Work is scheduled for completion in early 2026.
