What else?

All east and westbound lanes of Northaven Road crossing the tollway will be closed at 10 p.m. March 8. Those lanes will stay closed through mid-April.

Eastbound drivers on Northaven will be redirected onto Inwood Road to go around the closed lanes. Westbound drivers will be redirected onto Preston Road.

Message boards will be placed along the highway and roads to alert drivers of the closure, according to the traffic alert.

Looking back

The repairs are occurring after a truck carrying a piece of oversized construction equipment hit the Northaven Road bridge in September, NTTA Media Relations Manager Michael Rey said in an email. Engineers inspected the bridge and determined the bridge remains structurally stable despite the damage. In order to make repairs to the bridge, Northaven Road will be closed to vehicle traffic, he said.
