Richardson Public Library will close on Oct. 11 ahead of its move back to the newly renovated library building.
The closure will allow time for staff to move library materials, equipment and services from the temporary location back to the renovated library. The renovated library is expected to open later this fall, according to a news release from the city.
What you need to know
Digital library resources will remain available after the temporary facility closes, but most in-person programs and services will be paused until the renovated building opens:
Sept. 11: Interlibrary Loan requests will stop being accepted
Oct. 2: Items currently checked out through the Interlibrary Loan program must be returned
Oct. 5: Last day to submit a 3-D Print Job
Oct. 11: Last day to check out materials and pick up items on hold
Oct. 11 at 6 p.m.: The library and book drop will close
Per the city’s release, due dates for any materials checked out prior to the closure will be extended until the library reopens.
