Temporary lane closures are expected while workers with the city of Richardson replace a traffic signal as well as upgrade sidewalks and pedestrian ramps at the Yale Boulevard and Campbell Road intersection.

The gist

According to a city news release, the traffic light at the intersection is 25 years old and in need of replacement. During construction, which is expected to last through early December, drivers can expect lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

The project will replace sidewalk connections and accessible pedestrian ramps at the intersection, per the news release. Upgrades to the traffic signal cabinet, heads and poles are planned along with work on nearby underground infrastructure.

Construction is funded through the city's 2021 bond package.
