Work by The Texas Department of Transportation continues on an overhaul of the US 75 interchange with President George Bush Turnpike. Once complete the project will add access ramps to and from the turnpike and additional lanes along US 75.

In the vicinity of Plano Parkway existing retaining walls will be pushed back, allowing for construction of additional lanes to improve traffic flow. The Plano Parkway bridge that spans US 75 will also be rebuilt.

To alleviate traffic congestion TxDOT plans to eliminate the 15th Street exit in Plano and also move the southbound entry ramp further north.

According to TxDOT, the 1.3-mile project began in May 2016 and is managed by Zachry Construction Corporation.

The $37 million project is slated for completion in early 2019 and is paid for by TxDOT and North Texas Toll Association funds.
