The overview
Richardson residents will not have trash, bulk item or recycling collection service on Friday, July 4, according to the press release. Recycling services scheduled for July 3 will be collected July 2, and recycling collection for July 4 will be collected July 3. Trash and bulk item collection does not have a scheduled make-up day, the release states.
The Canyon Creek and Glenville Pools will remain open from 1-5 p.m. July 4, the Terrace pool will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and the Heights Family Aquatic Center will be open from noon to 5 p.m. The Tennis Center will remain open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Several public facilities will also adjust their hours for the holiday. The following facilities will be closed July 4:

- Richardson City Hall
- Richardson City Hall Annex
- Richardson Public Library
- Richardson Municipal Court
- Recreation Centers
- Richardson IQ HQ
- Richardson Senior Center
- Richardson Service Center
- Cottonwood Pool
- Eisemann Center
- Gymnastics Center (Closed July 4-5)
