Up for election
All Richardson City Council places, including mayor, will be on the ballot.
Additionally, Richardson residents in Collin County will vote for Collin College Board places 4, 5 and 6, and those that live in Plano ISD will vote for places 1, 2, 3 and 6.
Richardson City Council
Places 1, 2, 4 and 4 are district seats, and candidates must reside in the corresponding district, while places 5, 6 and the mayor are all elected at large. To be eligible to file, a potential candidate must be a Richardson resident for at least a year, be a U.S. citizen, be 21 years old and not be a felon or deemed mentally incompetent by a court.
Council members are elected for two years, and elections are held every odd year. Council members are limited to six terms, or 12 years.
Richardson ISD board of trustees
Candidate applications packets can be picked up at the RISD administration building, located at 400 S. Greenville Ave., or requested online through the district website.
Board places 1 through 5 are single-member districts, while places 6 and 7 are at-large.
Plano ISD board of trustees
Candidate filing packets can be picked up in person at the PISD Administration Building, located at 2700 W. 15th St., by appointment.
Trustees are elected to serve overlapping four-year terms and all places are at-large.
Collin College board of trustees
Trustees are elected at-large for all nine places and serve six-year terms. Candidate packets can be found on the Collin College website.
