What else?

Frozen pipes are a concern for residents as temperatures dip below freezing. If pipes burst, residents should turn off their water. A shut-off valve is typically located near the water meter. However, should residents be unable to turn off their water, they can call the city of Richardson’s 24-hour response line at 972-744-4111.

The Public Services Department will dispatch street maintenance crews in response to the winter weather. Crews will spread sand on high priority stress and areas such as bridges, major roads, intersections and hospital driveways to combat dangerous driving conditions. However, drivers are urged to drive cautiously or avoid driving if possible.
