The details
The commission recommended approval for a special-use permit for Mesorah High School for Girls on a 3.5-acre lot with a 23,512-square-foot building located at 2101 Waterview Parkway.
The school is a private, Orthodox Jewish high school currently located in Dallas that will relocate to Richardson, if approved by City Council. It has an enrollment of about 60 students.
The school will not have a significant impact on traffic, according to city documents.
Richardson’s future land use plan designates the area community commercial, which is characterized by developments that attract regional traffic for shopping and retail but secondary uses does include school.
What’s next
Richardson City Council will have final approval of the item following a public hearing in an upcoming meeting.
