Several city facilities in Richardson are planned to be closed in observance of Labor Day Sept. 2, according to the city’s posted holiday hours.

In addition to planned facility closures, trash and bulky item and brush collections scheduled for Sept. 2 will not occur and do not have make-up days. Recycling collections scheduled for Sept. 2-3 will be delayed by one day to Sept. 3-4, respectively.

What’s happening?

Per the city’s website, the following facilities will be closed:
  • Richardson Animal Shelter
  • Charles W. Eisemann Center
  • Richardson Gymnastics Center
  • Heights and Huffhines recreation centers
  • Richardson Public Library
  • Richardson Municipal Court
  • Richardson Innovation Quarter Headquarters
  • Richardson Senior Center
  • Temporary City Hall
Sherrill Park Golf Course will be open Labor Day and the Richardson Tennis Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the posted holiday hours.
