Swimming season in Richardson is about to begin as multiple city pools open on June 1.

Richardson public swimming facilities include:

  • Heights Aquatic Center, 709 W. Arapaho Road
  • Canyon Creek, 600 Aspenwood Drive
  • Cottonwood, 1321 W. Belt Line Road
  • Glenville, 500 S.Glenville Drive
  • Terrace, 300 N. Lois Lane

The Heights Aquatic Center, Cottonwood and Glenville facilities are set to open June 1. The opening of the Canyon Creek and Terrace pools has been delayed temporarily due to power outages cause by recent storms. City officials have not announced when those will open.

Each of these facilities have their own distinct hours and features throughout the season. The Heights Aquatic Center and neighborhood pools will have swim classes, which visitors can learn more about here.

Admission to the neighborhood pools is $2 for residents and $4 for nonresidents. Season passes are available for $30 for residents, $40 for nonresidents and $100 for resident families of four. Fees for the Heights Family Aquatic Center can be found on the Richardson website. Pools will operate on varying schedules with closures staggered from July 28 to September 2.
