Several city of Richardson facilities are planning to be closed in observance of Thanksgiving on Nov. 23, per a news release on the city website.

The overview

In addition to city office and facility closures, trash and bulk collections will not take place Nov. 23-24 with no makeup dates scheduled. Recycling service scheduled for Nov. 23 will be collected Nov. 22, while Nov. 24 collections will be made Nov. 25.

The library, senior center, Huffhines and Heights recreation centers, and animal shelter will all close at 5 p.m. Nov. 22. Both recreation centers will reopen Nov. 24 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Richardson Gymnastics Center will be closed Nov. 23-25.

  • Richardson Public Library
  • Richardson Senior Center
  • Richardson Municipal Court
  • Richardson IQHQ
  • Richardson Service Center
Both the Sherrill Park Golf Course and Richardson Tennis Center will be closed Nov. 23.

The Charles W. Eisemann Center will be closed Nov. 23 for Thanksgiving but will reopen from 5-9:30 p.m. Nov. 24.
