Several closures for city of Richardson facilities have been announced for Labor Day, according to a news release.

Trash and recycling pickup in Richardson will also be impacted because of the Sept. 4 holiday. All trash, recycling, and brush and bulky item collection will not occur Sept. 4 with trash and bulk service resuming Sept. 5.

No makeup days for trash pickup missed Sept. 4 are scheduled. Recycling pickup Sept. 4-5 will be pushed back one day, according to the news release.

What’s happening?

Closures have been announced for the following facilities Sept. 4:
  • Richardson Animal Shelter
  • Charles W. Eisemann Center
  • Gymnastics Center, Huffhines and Heights recreation centers, and Richardson Senior Center
  • Richardson Public Library
  • Richardson Municipal Court
  • Richardson Innovation Quarter Headquarters and the Service Center
The following facilities will be open Sept. 4:
  • Sherrill Park Golf Course
  • Heights Family Aquatic Center from noon-8 p.m.
  • Tennis Center from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
