Richardson officials announced Jan. 24 that the city is opening a warming center ahead of harsh winter weather expected in the area.
The warming center will be housed in the lobby of the Richardson Police Department, which is located at 200 N. Greenville Ave. The facility will be open at 5 p.m. and remain open until it is no longer needed, according to city officials.
Temperatures are expected near freezing Tuesday night before returning to the 50s on Wednesday, according to a
National Weather Service report.
