The city of Richardson has altered its trash and recycling pickup as well as facility hours for the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays, according to a news release.

There will be no trash, recycling, or brush and bulky item pickup on Dec. 23-24 or Dec. 31. There will not be replacement pickup days for trash collection, or brush and bulky item pickup.

Residents scheduled for recycling pickup on Thursdays will have pickup on Wednesday, Dec. 22 and Dec. 29. Those who normally have Friday pickup will move to Dec. 23 and Dec. 30.

Additionally, the city animal shelter will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1. City Hall, the civic center and municipal court will each be closed Dec. 23-24 and Dec. 31 in addition to their normal operating hours. The Eisemann Center will be closed Dec. 23-25 and Jan. 1, but will open Dec. 31 for an 8 p.m. show. The Richardson Gymnastics Center will be closed Dec. 23-25 and Dec. 31-Jan. 1. The Richardson Public Library will be closed Dec. 23-25 and will then close at 5 p.m. Dec. 31 and remain closed Jan. 1. The city's recreation centers, senior center and tennis center will all be closed Dec. 24-25 and will then close at 5 p.m. Dec. 31 and remain closed Jan. 1. The Sherrill Park Golf Course will be closed Dec. 25.
