The City of Richardson and The Core District will host a combined Culture in the Core and Light Up Lockwood event, according to a news release issued by the city.

What you need to know

Per the release, the combined event will take place Nov. 2. Culture in the Core will run from 2:30-6:30 p.m. at 105 S. Interurban St.

The event is a family-friendly event meant to encourage attendees to learn and experience music, dance, foods and art of different cultures.

Light Up Lockwood will take place 7-9 p.m at 500 Lockwood Drive and features a light shop and several vendors from the district, including Lockwood Distilling Company, Happy Hippie Brewing Company and Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe.

Parking and admission are free.
