Oktoberfest lunch
The Richardson Senior Center will host an Oktoberfest-inspired lunch of sausage, sauerkraut, potatoes and dessert. Membership is not required.

The semiannual Cottonwood Art Festival returns to showcase national artists. According to the event website, the festival offers plenty of food and drinks as well as a children’s area with activities. This year will also include the inaugural Walk the Chalk sidewalk chalk art contest with a chance to win a cash prize.

Dallas-based musician Paul Renna is performing at the Old 75 Beer Garden. Renna has been performing music for more than 30 years. His music is influenced by folk, Southern rock and Americana.

The Charles W. Eisemann Center is hosting “Step Afrika!” The performance blends percussive, traditional African and contemporary dance styles into one experience.
