Richardson ISD officials are hoping to hear parental feedback on a variety of topics as they try to improve performance heading into the 2023-24 school year.

Parents of RISD students are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete a confidential survey that is designed to provide feedback about the specific school their child attends.

What they're saying: “We want every parent to have a voice in Richardson ISD’s goal of being a district where all students connect, learn, grow, and succeed, and request your feedback through an end-of-year parent survey,” Superintendent Tabitha Branum said in a letter on the district’s website.

The details: The survey is designed to take nearly 10 minutes and covers critical issues for the district, including:
  • Academic preparation
  • Student support
  • Parent engagement
  • Safety and behavior
  • Special programs
  • School and district operations
  • The Yondr cellphone policy at secondary schools
  • School leadership
Also of note: Parents with students at multiple campuses can use the same survey link to select a different campus. The survey will close May 28 and is available in a variety of languages, including English, Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Urdu and Amharic. The results of the survey will be discussed at a future board of trustees meeting, but no date has been set.
