With all voting centers reporting, Bob Dubey defeated Janet DePuy to win the Richardson mayoral election.
Dubey, who represents Place 1 on Richardson City Council, earned 4,909 total votes, or 51.58% of the total ballots cast, in the mayoral race, while DePuy, who is the Place 3 representative on City Council, received 4,609 votes, or 48.42% of all votes.
Current Richardson Mayor Paul Voelker previously announced he was not seeking re-election.
Meanwhile, Curtis Dorian, Dan Barrios and Ken Hutchenrider all won their respective races for Richardson City Council seats in the May 6 election.
In the race to fill Dubey’s seat for City Council Place 1, Dorian earned 4,719 votes, or just over 54% of total votes, to beat opponent G. Scott Waddell. Barrios defeated Stephen Springs in the City Council Place 3 race with 5,174 ballots cast, or over 64% of the vote.
Hutchenrider earned his re-election bid for the City Council Place 5 seat with 5,825 votes, or over 66% of the total.

Incumbents Jennifer Justice, Joe Corcoran and Arefin Shamsul won re-election uncontested for City Council Places 2, 4 and 6, respectively.
The mayor and all council members are elected to two-year terms with no member allowed to serve more than six consecutive two-year terms in any place, according to city officials.

Bob Dubey has taken a lead in the Richardson mayoral election with all of Collin County reporting and 312 of 366 Dallas County voting centers reporting. Meanwhile, Curtis Dorian, Dan Barrios and Ken Hutchenrider all remain in the lead in their respective Richardson City Council races in the May 6 general election.
Dubey, who represents Place 1 on Richardson City Council, is leading with 4,597 votes, or 51.37% of total ballots cast, in the mayoral race as of 11:15 p.m. Opponent Janet DePuy, who is the Place 3 representative on City Council, has 4,351 votes, or 48.63% of all votes, in the mayoral race.
In the race to fill Dubey’s seat for City Council Place 1, Dorian is still leading with 4,415 votes, or nearly 54% of all votes, Barrios is still leading in the City Council Place 3 race with 4,857 ballots cast, or over 57% of all votes, and Hutchenrider, who was the only incumbent in a contested race seeking re-election, defeated Todd Hunter in the City Council Place 5 race with 5,461 votes, or over 66% of the total.

With 57 out of 62 Collin County voting centers and 144 out of 366 Dallas County voting centers reporting, Janet DePuy, Curtis Dorian, Dan Barrios and Ken Hutchenrider all stayed in the lead in their respective Richardson City Council races in the May 6 general election.
DePuy, who is the incumbent Place 3 representative on Richardson City Council, has increased her lead to 3,800 votes, or 50.86% of all votes, in the mayoral race. Dubey, who represents Place 1 on City Council, has 3,671 votes, or 49.14% of the total.
In the race to fill Dubey’s seat for City Council Place 1, Dorian is still leading with 3,883 votes, or nearly 57% of all votes, Barrios is still leading in the City Council Place 3 race with 3,944 ballots cast, or nearly 56% of all votes, and Hutchenrider is ahead for re-election in the City Council Place 5 seat with 4,606 votes, or over 66% of the total.

DePuy, who is the incumbent Place 3 representative on Richardson City Council, has increased her lead to 2,792 votes, or 50.84% of all votes, in the mayoral race. Dubey, who represents Place 1 on City Council, has 2,700 votes, or 49.16% of the total.In the race to fill Dubey’s seat for City Council Place 1, Dorian is still ahead with 2,972 votes, or nearly 59% of all votes. Barrios is still leading in the race to fill DePuy’s seat for City Council Place 3 with 2,853 ballots cast, or just over 54% of all votes, while Hutchenrider is ahead for re-election in the City Council Place 5 seat with 3,531 votes, or nearly 69% of the total.

Early voting numbers are in for four Richardson City Council races as polls closed at 7 p.m. for the general election.
According to early voting results in Collin and Dallas counties, Janet DePuy is leading Bob Dubey for Richardson mayor position, while Curtis Dorian, Dan Barrios and Ken Hutchenrider are ahead in their respective Richardson City Council races in the May 6 general election.
DePuy, who currently represents Place 3 in Richardson City Council received 2,409 early and absentee votes, or 50.3% of all votes, in the mayoral race. Dubey, who represents Place 1 in City Council, received 2,378 early and absentee votes, or 49.7% of the total.
Current Richardson Mayor Paul Voelker previously announced he was not seeking re-election.
In the race to fill Dubey’s seat for City Council Place 1, Dorian is leading with 2,683 early and absentee votes, or over 59% of all votes, while opponent G. Scott Waddell has received 1,853 early and absentee votes, or 41% of the total vote.
After early voting, Barrios is leading in the race to fill DePuy’s seat for City Council Place 3 with 2,477 early and absentee votes, or just under 54% of all votes. Opponent Stephen Springs has earned 2,115 early and absentee votes, or 46% of the total votes cast.
The lone incumbent in a contested race, Hutchenrider is currently leading over challenger Todd Hunter, earning 3,192 early and absentee votes, or over 69% of the total.
