Here are six new restaurants in Richardson to check out. This list is not comprehensive.

Sheba’s Ethiopian Kitchen

The restaurant serves several African dishes, such as doro wot, a chicken leg simmered in onion, a red pepper sauce and spiced butter; yebeg tibs, pieces of lamb sauteed with onion, jalapenos and seasoned with black pepper; and more.

This is the second Sheba’s Ethiopian Kitchen, with the first located at 8989 Forest Lane in Dallas. A grand opening is planned for late January.Hawaiian Bros.

The restaurant serves authentic Hawaiian fare featuring a main choice of protein, such as marinated slow-roasted pork, marinated chicken or seasoned vegetables, served with sides of jasmine rice and macaroni salad. The restaurant serves authentic Southern Indian cuisine and specializes in a variety of vegetarian dishes, including dosas and curries. The menu also includes several rice dishes and North Indian fare, according to its website.

The Richardson location is the global chain’s third restaurant in North Texas, including others in Plano and Irving.Peach Cobbler Factory

Peach Cobbler Factory serves a number of desserts, such as brownies, Belgian waffles and, of course, cobblers in a variety of flavors. The business also serves a dessert flight, which includes four cobblers and puddings.Coco Shrimp

The seafood restaurant offers a variety of Hawaiian-inspired dishes, including shrimp plates and tacos. The Richardson location is the first in the city for the local seafood chain.


According to the company's website, a future location is also planned in Keller.Tepito Restaurant Bar

The restaurant serves dishes inspired by the food of Mexico City, including pozole, huarache and steak salad, according to its website.

Tepito Restaurant Bar is located in the building that was the former home of Cajun restaurant Shuck N’Jive.
