A special development plan for a Richardson property near DFW Chinatown is now reflected in the city’s zoning map and comprehensive zoning ordinance.

Richardson City Council approved the changes during its March 25 meeting after previously approving a special development plan last month.

The overview

With the approval, the property’s owner, David Arledge, previously said he plans to lease out the site, located at 512 N. Central Expressway, as a warehouse to potential tenants. The terms of the approved special development plan allow for both indoor and outdoor material storage on the property along with a driveway that runs through the property.

Further improvements to the property include an enhanced building facade, sidewalk repair along Bishop Avenue and the access road for North Central Expressway, and landscape screening.

During the Feb. 26 meeting, when the special development plan was approved, Arledge did not provide information about a future tenant or when the improvements might be complete.
