Collin County health officials announced 13 additional cases of the new coronavirus April 27.

The county has a total of 676 cases of the virus, the report states. Richardson residents account for 14 of the total cases, according to the county’s online dashboard.

There are 196 current cases of COVID-19 as of April 27. Of those, 29 are hospitalized, and 167 remain in home isolation, the report said. 463 people have successfully recovered.

There have been 17 deaths of people who tested positive for the virus in Collin County. The most recent death, a 91-year-old McKinney woman with underlying health issues, was reported April 26.

There have been 6,853 negative COVID-19 tests in Collin County, and there are 1,045 people being monitored for the virus as of April 27.


On April 25, 15 new cases of coronavirus were reported by the county. On April 26, nine new cases were reported.
