Outside, Texas has relocated from Dallas’ Lower Greenville to downtown Richardson.

Phenix Salon Suites is opening soon in Richardson, owner Malak Stewart said in an email.


The company provides individual salon suites for hairstylists, barbers, nail technicians, massage therapists, make-up artists and more.

Each private suite is designed to be a self-contained workspace, Stewart said, adding that professionals who lease suites have flexibility over their operating hours. The business will begin leasing suites during the summer.

“The idea behind Phenix Salon Suites is to give lifestyle entrepreneurs the opportunity to run their own businesses without the overhead costs of owning a traditional salon or store,” Stewart said. “They license out fully equipped, private suites that can be customized to suit the professional’s needs.”Richardson-based Lone Chimney Mercantile to open location in Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport

Lone Chimney Mercantile, located in downtown Richardson, is set to open a location in the Dallas Fort International Airport.

An AT&T call center is expected to relocate from its current Richardson location to Lakeside Tower, according to a news release issued by the city.


As a result of the relocation, the city of Richardson is working with Provident Realty Advisors for a building modernization grant that includes $15.8 million in building improvements.

The call center supports various customer service and sales functions.

“Attracting long-term tenants like AT&T and modernizing existing office space are central to our three-pronged approach for revitalizing the commercial office sector in the wake of COVID-19, through partnerships with property owners to upgrade amenities, tenant improvement grants to make deals more feasible, and targeted redevelopment of specific office properties to create more vibrant developments,” City Manager Don Magner said in the release. “These initiatives are essential to keeping Richardson competitive and thriving as a destination for corporate investment.”

An expected relocation date is not available; however, documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation indicate renovations will wrap up in winter 2025.Mesorah High School for Girls set to offer faith-based class in Richardson


Mesorah High School for Girls is coming soon to Richardson.

The school offers Orthodox Jewish-based instruction. It is currently located in Dallas, but will relocate to Richardson.

It is unknown when the school will open; however, documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation indicate renovations to the space will wrap up in December.
