A building occupied by a CVS Specialty in Richardson is undergoing renovations.

CVS Specialty offers patients a higher level of support to patients compared to a standard retail pharmacy, such as providing access to a care team of clinical pharmacists and nurses, according to its website.

According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the upgrades include equipment for backup power and remote terminal units, which help manage various systems within the building. Per the filing, a new generator, an uninterruptible power supply system—used for automated backup to power—and two new remote terminal units will be installed.

As part of the renovations, six remote terminal units will be removed from the facility.

Renovations are expected to be complete in late 2024, per the filing.
