After a temporary closure due to an August fire, a Richardson specialty pet store, The Serpentarium, is open again.

According to a Facebook post by the business, The Serpentarium held a soft reopening in early April and will have limited hours Monday-Tuesday and Friday-Sunday.

The Richardson location of The Serpentarium opened in 2019. Customers can purchase necessary care items for exotic pets in addition to live snakes, turtles and amphibians.

CEO Robert Coral said a grand reopening and the resumption of hours seven days a week will likely take place in about one month.
