An adventure and travel goods retailer, Half-Moon Outfitters, is planning to expand its operations into Texas with a store in Richardson.

Half-Moon Outfitters first opened in 1993 in Charleston, South Carolina, and sells a variety of goods for outdoor activities. A company spokesperson said several name brands for kayaking, rock climbing, backpacking, surfing and travel are sold at the business.

Several locations operate throughout a few states in the United States in addition to the planned Richardson retail location within the East Pavilion Shopping Center.
