The Serpentarium in Richardson is set to reopen in February after a fire in August forced it to temporarily close.

CEO Robert Coral said the exotic reptile business pushed back its initial January reopening date because of the need to schedule multiple vendors to restore the building and obtain city inspections.

The Serpentarium originally opened in Richardson in 2019. The business sells live pets, including snakes, turtles and amphibians, in addition to other necessary care items.
