Here are four Richardson businesses that are relocating, opening soon or celebrating an anniversary. This list is not comprehensive.

Relocations

1. iDanz Performing Arts Studio relocated from Richardson to a new location in Dallas. The studio opened in Richardson in January 2021 and offers a variety of classes, such as “Moms With Moves.”

A company representative said in an email the decision to relocate came after the landlord decided the location at 1440 N. Plano Road, Ste. 260, was not the best fit for iDanz. They added the new Dallas location is much bigger.Coming soon

2. Barnes & Noble is opening soon in the Pavillion East Shopping Center, near The University of Texas at Dallas campus.


The store, which sells books, movies, board games, stationery and more, will be located between HomeGoods and the Richardson Bike Shop.In the news

3. Haystack Burgers & Barley is celebrating 10 years in business in Richardson.

According to a news release, the restaurant was first opened in 2013 by husband-and-wife team Kevin and Jenny Galvan, who have since opened four additional locations in North Texas. Along with burgers, Haystack also serves salads, chicken sandwiches, shakes and more.4. A permit has been filed for a new Hibbett Sports location in Richardson, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The permit shows construction started Oct. 9 and is estimated to finish in early December. The project consists of renovations to the existing building to accommodate the sporting goods store. Hibbett Sports sells shoes, apparel and other sporting goods, according to the company website.
