On the heels of moving into a new Richardson office, insurance technology company Take Command Health landed further funding from investors.

The company moved into its Richardson office at 1410 E. Renner Road, Ste. 250, on Aug. 17, Head of Communications Amy Skinner said. Following that, investors committed $25 million in growth-stage financing to the company, according to a Sept. 19 news release.

Two-minute impact

The $25 million in financing was led by Edison Partners and joined by investors LiveOak Ventures and SJF Ventures.

With the funding, Take Command, which specializes in offering employers health reimbursement accounts, plans to invest in its product and expand its go-to-market strategy.

Skinner said it is also possible the company could use the funds to help nearly double its workforce from 105 to 200 employees in the Richardson office in the future.

Quote of note

Skinner said Richardson is home to many of the company’s employees.

“We loved the location, the amenities, the surrounding restaurants and the amount of space,” Skinner said regarding why the company chose Richardson. “We’re growing quickly and had outgrown the last three offices.”
