But ever since she was a child, Blair said she has wanted to pursue her passion for skin care. She has suffered with her own skin issues for over 25 years, visiting dermatologists and estheticians as a child.
Her experience as a patient grew her overall interest in the inner-workings of the profession.
“I have a personal understanding from being a client myself, as my patient perspective exceeds the time I’ve been a professional,” Blair said. “I’ve figured out so many formulas on how to help the skin and what the skin is going through in helping my clients to reach their skin care goals.”
She earned her esthetician license in 2018, fully shifting over to Advanced Esthetics of Richardson two years later.
As a Texas-licensed certified oncology esthetician, Blair also has the ability to do skin care modification therapy. In addition to specializing in acne and corrective care, Blair said she is certified to work with patients who are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation or have other health challenges that affect their skin.
After growing up as a Richardson resident, Blair said the business venture has been a great chance to remain at home.
“Now my kids go to school in Richardson,” Blair said. “This is where I’m from, and I couldn’t love it any more.”
Advanced Esthetics’ location also helps draw in customers from all over the northern and eastern sides of Dallas, Blair said. The next nearest oncology-certified esthetic clinic is in Fort Worth, she said.
