Upcoming projects
1. FM 1515 widening
Project: Texas Department of Transportation documents show FM 1515 will undergo renovations to widen the roadway from two lanes to six lanes, which will be divided by a median.
Update: Crews are relocating water and wastewater utilities ahead of the road widening. Future utilities relocations include telecommunications lines and energy utilities. Utilities relocations are expected to be complete in March 2027.

Ongoing projects
2. Medical Center Drive improvements
Project: Crews are reconstructing and widening Medical Center Drive between Frisco Road and Spur 399. When finished, the road will be a continuous four-lane divided roadway.
Update: Construction is underway and approximately 30% complete. Paving of the southbound lanes is underway and nearly complete. Traffic will be switched to the new pavement within the next one to two months.

3. CR 52 reconstruction
Project: CR 52 is being reconstructed from West Outer Loop to FM 428. The project will add an asphalt overlay and underground drainage upgrades.
Update: The project is moving into Phase 3. During this phase, residents will use West Outer Loop while FM 428 is reserved for hospital delivery vehicles, according to the city’s social media.

4. Plano Parkway sewer improvements
Project: Sewer improvements are underway from Coit Road to Independence Parkway.
Update: Public Works Community Investment Project Manager Drew Zaeske said the contractor is working on placing temporary asphalt in Plano Parkway to get turn lanes opened back up to traffic. The project is still on track to be completed by spring 2027.

5. Meadow Hill Drive reconstruction
Project: Meadow Hill Drive will be reconstructed from North County Road to Rogers Road. The project will also include adding two roundabouts and drainage and culvert improvements.
Update: Frisco City Council approved a $2.16 million contract for the project in May, and construction is currently underway, according to the city’s capital improvement website.
